Frequently asked questions
Do you only perform weddings?
How do I get in touch with you to discuss our ceremony?
I will be in touch, and we can arrange an obligation free meeting to get to know each other and I can learn more about your vision for your ceremony.
How do I book you for a ceremony?
Once I have taken a deposit this will secure your ceremony date and this date will be blocked out to other couples.
What happens at the obligation free meeting?
First and foremost, you decide if you like me and my style!
This meeting is all about seeing if we are a good fit.
We will discuss your vision for the ceremony and go from there.
I will discuss all the legal aspects of marriage with you and the legal documents that need to be completed to ensure your marriage is valid.
How old do I have to be to get married?
If, however, one of the parties is aged 16-18 years and the other party is aged 18 years and over, there are some circumstances in which the marriage may be approved.
You must have court approval by a judge or magistrate to marry, consent by your parent or guardian has been given or dispensed with.
If one of your parties is aged under 18, please contact me to discuss the procedure in which to apply to a judge or magistrate for the approval of your marriage.
What locations do you service?
I am happy to travel to other locations by agreement.

Can I have my ceremony anywhere?
Provided you have permission to marry at the location you have chosen.
I will gladly perform ceremonies at any location you desire (the location must be considered safe for myself, the wedding party, and guests).
We don’t want to wait 1 month before we marry, can we marry earlier?
It is possible to shorten the minimum notice time to less than one month if and only if, the special circumstances set out in the Marriage Regulations of 1963 are met.
You will need to approach a Prescribed Authority for approval.
Link to Prescribed Authorities: https://marriage.ag.gov.au/stateofficers/authorities/
The five categories of circumstances are:
- Employment Related or Other Travel Commitments
- Wedding or Celebration Arrangements or Religious Considerations
- Medical Reasons
- Legal Proceedings
- Error In Giving Notice
Approval of a shortening of time is not automatic.
Please contact me to assist you to complete a shortening of time application.
Do you perform elopements or surprise weddings?

You will still require two witnesses aged 18 and over.
But I am fabulous at keeping a secret for you (Just make sure your old Uncle Reggie doesn’t keel over at the prospect of a surprise wedding)
